As members of the National Art Honor Society here at Cypress Bay, we consider ourselves creative and artistically inclined students who support the arts within our school. This club is not only a creative outlet, but is also a place to meet people with similar interests, gain knowledge through art education, and acquire a variety of skills. We are more than happy to accept new members into the club, especially those who are dedicated and hard-working. We encourage you to stop by one of our meetings every other Monday in Room 160 and decide if this club is right for you.
About the National Art Honor Society
The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service, and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
Here are some of the events that we do throughout the year:
Paint and Chalk MuralsAround and off campus there are many opportunities for student made murals. Whether they're chalk or paint murals, both are a lot of fun to do and help spread creative influence.
